Soke Blackburn
Blackburn ha Kushin-Itto-ryu, or one sword system, is based upon the experiences of Soke Blackburn, who learned the foundation and forms of this family-based system during his time in Japan. Over the years, Soke Blackburn has applied his Asian linguistic skills, historical knowledge, and extensive, forty-years of martial training to better understand the forms, intent, and writings of the Masters across many schools and locations.
Soke Blackburn wants to share this knowledge with others based on what the martial arts have done for him and what he has seen the study of martial arts--with a true purpose--do for others. The BHKIRA instructors are available on this website to help with training or answer questions about this Kushin Itto-Ryu system.
